On Friday, April 30 100+ ladies enjoyed Women’s Day at St. Mark’s in Jenkintown, PA. Diane Jerdan, the featured speaker, inspired the attendees in their walk with Christ by comparing the daily christian walk to mountain climbing.

The project goal of $10,000 is designated to support the mission work in Nepal. English language acquisition is a priority to the enhancement of this work as related to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Nepal. Educational materials, supplies, and personnel are in great demand.

Nearly 50% of the goal – $4,700 – was collected at the luncheon. It is the hope of the Committee that all churches will participate in meeting the $10,000 goal.

Please consider giving toward this worthy goal. Contributions should be mailed to:

Press Release: February 4, 2010

It was a hot summer evening in June at Christ Church in Plano, Texas when the new Archbishop of the Anglican Church, Bob Duncan, made an astonishing call. He called for the planting and raising up of 1000 churches during his ministry! The congregation erupted, but this was no mere applause line. Soon after, the Archbishop brought together a group of leaders from the US and Canada who began to dream about a cooperative movement that would fulfill this astonishing call. Planters and congregations from all parts of the Anglican Church would form a movement, Anglican 1000, to plant and raise up churches to reach North America with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

Anglican 1000, an initiative of the Anglican Church is hosting a Church Planting Summit in Plano, Texas to launch and ignite this cooperative movement. Summit participants will share best practices, learn from some of the top leadership in church planting, and hear real church planters and church planting churches tell their story from the frontiers of the mission field. This is a unique chance to hear why Anglican Church Planting is ideally suited and positioned to reach North America. The featured speaker is Ed Stetzer, a nationally recognized authority on church planting. Other plenary speakers include Archbishop Duncan, Bishop Doc Loomis, William Beasley, David Roseberry, Ray David Glenn, Dean Robert Munday, and Dean Justyn Terry. Jim Salladin, an incredibly gifted, young Canadian will lead Bible Study each day.

The Anglican 1000 Church Planting Summit 2010 will be held in Plano, Texas from February 22-23, 2010. The cost to register is $130 with limited scholarships available to full time seminarians. For more information, you can visit our temporary web site www.Anglican1000.org. To register for the summit, you can click the “Sign Up Now” Button on the web page to go to a registration page. There are already over 180 people registered from all over the United States (with 27 states currently represented) and Canada (over 30 registrants already). There are bishops, clergy, and laity from all parts of the Anglican Church already registered and coming to this Church Planting Summit. Don’t miss out on this chance to ignite a movement to raise up Anglican congregations and communities of faith to reach North America with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

“The Gospel in the Book of Revelation”

A retreat for Pastors, their wives, and others in ministry.

Thursday, January 28, 2010 through Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Best Western Eden Resort Routes 30 & 272 Lancaster, PA 17601

Our speaker: The Rev. Dr. Rodney A. Whitacre

We are blessed to have the Rev. Dr. Rodney A. Whitacre as our speaker this year Rod has been one of our favorite retreat speakers over the years. His pastoral , yet intellectual, treatment of the Word of God is a gift he has been willing to share with us throughout the years.

This year we will be treated to a discussion of the gospel in the book of Revelation. Here is a preview in his own words, “The last book of the Bible fascinates some people, scares others, and confuses yet others. Indeed, some people have all three reactions! This strange book, when interpreted by the clues it provides, shows us how God’s revelation in the past and His work throughout history, from beginning to end, all fit together in Christ. Through this book we are given a glimpse of the majesty of God, His perspective on human history, His plan for humanity, and a challenge to be faithful to our sovereign and gracious Lord in our own time. It is a book for all seasons that offers us both the challenge and the comfort of the Gospel.”

We look forward to exposition of the book of Revelation and hope you will join us.
