Rev. Jack Clark appointed Canon Missioner
The Reverend Jack Clark, rector of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Elkton, MD, has been appointed by Bishop Hicks as Canon Missioner for the Diocese of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic of the Reformed Episcopal Church. His role will be in overseeing church planting and encouraging mission parishes, of which the Diocese has several.
Before accepting the call in 2011 to St. Peter’s, Rev. Clark was a deacon at Holy Trinity REC in St. Louis MO. Rev. Clark joined the REC from an AMiA congregation, Church of the Resurrection in Chesterfield, MO. As deacon at Resurrection Rev. Clark was the Parish Missioner and received training at the Anglican School for Church Planters at Christ Church Plano, Plano TX in 2009.
Rev. Clark is a retired business executive whose career was centered on manufacturing plant start-up and reorganization projects. He retired as a manufacturing organizational development consultant, specializing in “Lean Manufacturing” strategies for organizational success, after 40 years in the recreational marine industry. He is also a US Army Special Forces veteran.
Rev. Clark completed his BS degree in Management and Organizational Development at Mt. Olive University. He did undergraduate studies in Business and Coaching at Taylor University, Law at Western States University of Law, and Religious Studies at San Diego State University. He also studied at Cummins Theological Seminary and has a Certificate in Anglican Theology from the Reformed Episcopal Seminary.
Rev. Clark is married to Esther Clark. They have five grown children and twelve grandchildren.
