Greetings from Bishop Gillin
Dear Friend,
How do I cope? Have you ever been asked that question or even asked it yourself? I believe we all have at one time or another. The struggles of life can prove to be overwhelming at times. We live in a world of rapid change and instability. These trying times that have included a global pandemic, social unrest and political turmoil have added to the difficulties of daily living. We look for answers to life’s questions that provide hope and encouragement.
The Reformed Episcopal Church has a rich heritage, but also a timely message for today. We have a story to tell. It’s the enduring story about the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord. So many people are looking for stability and permanence. This can only be found in the unchanging God who promises hope now and forever. This has been the message of God’s Holy Word, through His Church, down through the centuries and it has been the joyful privilege of the Reformed Episcopal Church to be part of that story for nearly 150 years. Our Presiding Bishop, Dr. Ray R. Sutton, instituted the REC100 initiative with the goal of planting 100 churches in the next 10 years so many others may share in that joy of the faith as once delivered to the saints.
I invite you join us and share in the Gospel experience by visiting one of our diocesan churches. Please choose the Parishes link to find the one nearest you. And now, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
Sincerely in God's Love,
Bishop R. Charles Gillin
